A garage in the NZ Coromandel surf town of Whangamata, way back in the early 90’s.
What are you best known for?
Staying true to our NZ roots and creating fashionable, technical outerwear for snow lovers… As well as being a bunch of good buggers!
Favourite product in your range?
We love everything in the 2015 range, but the womens iconic pant continues to fit like a glove in all the right places, so this wins by a whisker.
What makes you better than all the rest?
Local iconic brand, designed in NZ. Built for snow and built to look good!
What’s your brand’s spirit animal?
NZ Kea.
What’s a random fact about your brand that will surprise and delight?
2015 is the 20th year of Groovstar. The first retail account was Euphoria Snow, Skate, Surf (which would later become part of R&R Sport then Torpedo7) in Colombo Street, Christchurch in 1995.
