For 2011 we have upgraded our entire Speed Zone™ lacing system to offer improved durability, entry and exit, as well as customizable lacing. First we covered the lower lace with a protective shield. Then we added a new lower lace anchoring point so you can easily swap lace colors or upgrade to the Speed Zone winder handle, that comes standard on our highest end boots. To make entry and exit even easier, we added a new pull loop on the tongue as well as a dual lace pull tab that releases both the upper and lower zone simultaneously.
