Four wheel drive for front, side and backcountry, the NEW Barracuda is a hybrid of free-ride engineering. A slightly tapered shape and directional flax combine with S-Rocker to create a floater that goes up, over and through anything. Steep lines to fresh pillows and sketchy traverses in between, its speedy ride preserves stability and provides critical edge control for slicing up everything from blower to bulletproof.
Techy Features:
S-Rocker Speed and float are your friends, and that’s what S-Rocker is all about. Entry rocker extends from the nose to under your front foot, then transitions to camber between your feet. Compressing the camber causes the entry rocker to naturally lift the nose, thus improving float while maintaining momentum and stability through deep-driving pow turns and variable conditions.
The Channel Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, the Channel(M6) has staked its claim in the marketplace as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles. The addition of M6 means we’re using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with all Burton bindings as well as bindings from select competitors, making it a choice for any rider.
Super Fly II™ Core Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight. Further optimized for float in our freeride focused boards, and strength in our park-focused boards.
Dualzone™ EGD™ The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength.
Directional Shape The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or snow condition.
Directional Flex This versatile flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control and flow through all terrain and conditions.
Triax™ Fiberglass Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.
Carbon I-Beam™ This ultra-light carbon backbone increases pop and longitudinal snap
10:45 Sidewalls The Sergeant Slaughter of sidewalls. The toughest, most impact-absorbent sidewall geometry in snowboarding, 10:45™ optimizes two different angles to create the bomber edge strength aggressive shredders demand.
Sintered WFO Base Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.
Infinite Ride™ This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks the board in for you. Whether you choose to ride Spring loaded, Rocker or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season. Infinite Ride—ensuring the core values for years to come Pro-Tip™ A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility
