Unlock secret levels.

Driven by the explosive riding of guys like Jack Mitrani, and Chris Sorman, the NEW Joystick™ is an all-mountain destroyer that will propel you to new levels. Balancing warp speed edge control and drive with force field stability on takes-offs and landings, the Joystick pushes V-Rocker™ performance into entirely new territories. Forgiving and fun, yet incredibly agile and aggressive, three-stage rocker designs don’t get more turbo-charged than this.

The Channel:
The Channel is snowboarding’s most direct connection—focusing power through a central connection spine that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap. It works with both Burton’s 3D® and EST™ bindings, and lets you mount bindings to board any way you see fit. Easily dial in your stance width and angles with next-level micro-adjustability.

Rocker Shape

The Freestyle Scoop *New*
This exaggerated spoon shape creates a more forgiving feel by turning the edges up at the tip and tail. We’ve taken the Scoop in two directions for 2010. The Park Scoop excels at jibbing, pressing, and buttering thanks to steeper, more aggressive scooping that extends slightly into the board’s running length. For a more versatile ride that adds looseness and float, the NEW Freestyle Scoop features mellower scooping that tapers off just before the contact points.

V-Rocker
A three-stage rocker that’s equally fun from park to pow, V-Rocker™ features a centre rocker between your feet, with additional rockers outside each foot that lift the tip and tail completely off the snow. Along the Channel zones, Burton have added Pressure Distribution Edges for enhanced grip and power that balances the board’s loose and forgiving, skate-like feel. Together, the V-Rocker package energizes edge control while disengaging tip and tail contact points to create a catch-free feel that’s incredibly forgiving, floaty, poppy, and fun on all terrain.

Enjoyed by team riders such as Mikey Rencz, Marko Grilc, Chris Sörman, Sani Alibabic, Dimitry Fesenko, and Jack Mitrani.

Core:

Dualzone EGD
The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength.

Negative Core Profile
The team’s favorite profile features thinner sections of core between the bindings for softer flex and torsion. Perfect for everything from park, pipe, and pow to rails and boxes, these boards excel over a variety of terrain and conditions.

Super Fly II Core
Placing stronger and lighter wood in specific areas of the core provides snap, strength, and reduced weight for uncompromised board feel and response.

Glass:

Carbon I-Beam
Our ultra-light carbon backbone gives the board added pop and longitudinal snap.

Triax Response Fibreglass
Radiating outwards from the Channel, these energy transfer lines send input from brain to edge in the blink of an eye, allowing thoughts to become actions with effortless precision.

Base:

Sintered Base
Ultra-durable and highly porous, our sintered base’s superior wax absorption results in greater overall glide.

Shape:

Elliptical Kicks
An elliptical tip and tail shape promotes pop while providing added float and clearance when riding pow and variable conditions.

Pro-Tip

Another Burton first. Tapering the thickness of the tip and tail dramatically reduces swing weight and creates a more playful flex in the tip and tail.

Twin-Like
Combining the twin aesthetics of a park board with the added versatility of a slightly directional shape, this design promotes precision in both directions while amplifying float, pop, and control in any situation.

Tuning:

Infinite Ride
This exclusive pop and power-enhancing technology allows Burton to maximise pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks the board in for you. The result is a consistent feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Sidewall:

10:45 Sidewalls
Extra-meaty 10:45 Sidewalls use two different angles to absorb the impacts that aggressive riders dish out.

Edge Technology

Grip & Rip Edge Tune
Burton’s tried and true edge tune, perfect for slicing and dicing the entire mountain to pieces.

Stainless Steel Pressure Distribution Edges
No fancy marketing campaign—just nine years of experience and another Burton breakthrough. The edges beneath the binding area extend out slightly for tremendous edge hold on hard, icy conditions, while remaining ever playful in soft snow. It’s there when you need it, yet can’t be noticed when you don’t.

Flex:

Directional
This versatile flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control over all terrains and conditions.

Burton’s Feel Rating: 2
To help simplify things, Burton have assigned a single "feel" rating to each of our boards. This number is based on a variety of factors including the board’s materials, shape, tip-to-tail flex, and torsion (aka edge-to-edge rigidity). This number is based on ascale from one to ten with one being softer and more relaxed and ten being most responsive. Keep in mind that a higher number doesn’t mean the board is more difficult to ride. It simply helps you compare boards within our line to determine which is best for your riding style.

Other Features:
Downsize 1 to 2cm from normal board length

Please Note: This board is supplied with ICS (Channel) hardware so you can run standard Burton Bindings. The ICS discs may not link up with your non-Burton bindings. For the full effect, link it up with an EST™ Burton binding and experience the clearest, most cushioned, and comfortable connection to ever see snow.
