A soul surfer with a heart for freestyle.

The Malolo’s shallow taper lets guys like Terje and Nicolas Muller spin off cliffs and kickers, lay it sideways, and blast through stashes with uncompromised flow and precision. Whether it’s an epic dump or late day crud, the NEW S-Rocker design equals effortless float that will accelerate you out of even the deepest driving turn.

Featured Techy Whatnots:

The Channel
The Channel is snowboarding’s most direct connection—focusing power through a central connection spine that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap. It works with both Burton’s 3D® and EST™ bindings, and lets you mount bindings to board any way you see fit. Easily dial in your stance width and angles with next-level micro-adjustability.

Rocker Shape:

S-Rocker
Speed and float are your friends, and that’s what S-Rocker is all about. Entry rocker extends from the nose of the board to under your front foot, then transitions to a traditional camber under your back foot that is positioned to match the board’s setback stance. When you compress and ‘punch’ the camber under your back foot it causes the entry rocker to naturally lift the nose. This design keeps the nose afloat and helps maintain momentum through the deepest turns and variable conditions, meaning more control, speed, and maneuverability with even less effort.

Enjoyed by Terje Haakonsen, Nicolas Müller, Jake Burton and anyone else who seeks enlightenment through deep snow meditation.

Core:

Dualzone EGD
The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength.

Negative Core Profile
The team’s favorite profile features thinner sections of core between the bindingsfor softer flex and torsion. Perfect for everything from park, pipe, and pow to rails and boxes, these boards excel over a variety of terrain and conditions.

Powder Fly Cores
Feature a more resilient, lighter-weight nose that when combined with the board’s tapered shape and set-back stance, promotes float and eliminates rear leg burn so you can relax when riding powder.

Glass:

Triax Response Fibreglass
Versatile flex and response that’s capable of everything from straight-line big mountain descents to mellow laps through the park.

Base:

Sintered N2O WFO Vision Base
Sintered N2O WFO base with the insane clarity of Burton’s Vision materials for hole-shot speed and the poppiest graphics possible.

Shape:

Pro-Tip
Another Burton first. Tapering the thickness of the tip and tail dramatically reduces swing weight and creates a more playful flex in the tip and tail.

Tuning:

Infinite Ride
This exclusive pop and power-enhancing technology allows Burton to maximise pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks the board in for you. The result is a consistent feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Sidewall:

Pro:45 Sidewalls
Found on select tapered boards, Pro:45™ Sidewalls feature a slantwall sidewall shape towards the nose that transitions to the burlier 10:45™ Sidewall at the tail. This allows the nose to cut through pow and crud while the tail takes all the abuse of off-piste riding.

Edge Technology:

Grip & Rip Edge Tune
Our tried and true edge tune, perfect for slicing and dicing the entire mountain to pieces.

Flex:

Directional
This versatile flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control over all terrains and conditions.

Feel Rating: 5
To help simplify things, Burton have assigned a single "feel" rating to each of our boards. This number is based on a variety of factors including the board’s materials, shape, tip-to-tail flex, and torsion (aka edge-to-edge rigidity). This number is based on a scale from one to ten with one being softer and more relaxed and ten being most responsive. Keep in mind that a higher number doesn’t mean the board is more difficult to ride. It simply helps you compare boards within Burton’s line to determine which is best for your riding style.

Other Features:
Downsize 2 to 4 cm From Normal Board Length
Tapered (20MM)

Please Note: This board is supplied with ICS (Channel) hardware so you can run standard Burton Bindings. The ICS discs may not link up with your non-Burton bindings.
