BURTON T-6 Snowboard 2010
$649.99
Freeride firing on all six cylinders.
By pairing the precision-milled chassis of an Alumafly™ core with the underfoot suspension of Smooth Ride™, the T6™ allows Terje and Nicolas Müller to fly faster and higher with more control and finesse. Power through crud, accelerate up transitions, thread the needle with F1 precision—this is the ultimate high-octane scream machine. Now upgraded with the Channel for limitless stance adjustability with any Burton binding.
Featured Techy Gizmos:
Smooth Ride Technology Smooth Ride™ dampening technology, exclusive to the T6™, is designed to let you react quicker, go bigger, and ride faster for longer with less impact on your body. Chatter, vibration, and the shock from flat landings gets absorbed by the board before making it to your body.
The Channel The Channel is snowboarding’s most direct connection—focusing power through a central connection spine that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap. It works with both Burton’s 3D® and EST™ bindings, and lets you mount bindings to board any way you see fit. Easily dial in your stance width and angles with next-level micro-adjustability.
Core:
Alumafly Core Snowboarding’s first tip-to-tail aluminum honeycomb core is 90% air by volume and represents the perfect union of ultra high-grade honeycomb technology and EGD™. Get metallic pop, explosive response, and untapped acceleration no pulp-based honeycomb core could ever provide.
Even Core profile Designed for all-around performance. Creates a consistent flex and feel over the entire length of the board that balances stability and playfulness at both high and low speeds.
Multizone EGD The wood grain is perpendicular to the core only under the bindings—the area from which a rider’s power emanates—to enhance carving precision, response, and durability while maximizing snow sensitivity.
Glass:
Triax Response Fibreglass Versatile flex and response that’s capable of everything from straight-line big mountain descents to mellow laps through the park.
Base:
Sintered N2O WFO Base Taking dual temperature wax impregnation to scary-fast, chemistry-nerd levels, N2O WFO blends high and low temperature-reactive waxes with a super durable and absorbent high-density sintered material. The result is a super fast, low-maintenance base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition imaginable.
Shape:
Directional The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float and control to rip any terrain or snow condition.
Pro-Tip Another Burton first. Tapering the thickness of the tip and tail dramatically reduces swing weight and creates a more playful flex in the tip and tail.
Tuning:
Infinite Ride This exclusive pop and power-enhancing technology allows Burton to maximise pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks the board in for you. The result is a consistent feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Edge Technology:
Grip & Rip Edge Tune Burton’s tried and true edge tune, perfect for slicing and dicing the entire mountain to pieces.
Stainless Steel Pressure Distribution Edges No fancy marketing campaign—just nine years of experience and another Burton breakthrough. The edges beneath the binding area extend out slightly for tremendous edge hold on hard, icy conditions, while remaining ever playful in soft snow. It’s there when you need it, yet can’t be noticed when you don’t.
Flex:
Directional This versatile flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control over all terrains and conditions.
Feel Rating: 8 To help simplify things, Burton have assigned a single "feel" rating to each of our boards. This number is based on a variety of factors including the board’s materials, shape, tip-to-tail flex, and torsion (aka edge-to-edge rigidity). This number is based on a scale from one to ten with one being softer and more relaxed and ten being most responsive. Keep in mind that a higher number doesn’t mean the board is more difficult to ride. It simply helps you compare boards within Burton’s line to determine which is best for your riding style.
Other Features: Slantwall
Please Note: This board is supplied with ICS (Channel) hardware so you can run standard Burton Bindings. The ICS discs may not link up with your non-Burton bindings. For the full effect, link it up with an EST™ Burton binding and experience the clearest, most cushioned, and comfortable connection to ever see snow.
