Equipped with all the functions you need for a off-piste adventure, the Back Country is designed for snowboarders - either the ones who ride the lifts all day or the core pow-junkies who aren’t afraid to hike in search of the best white stuff on offer. It features a main compartment with special pockets for a hydration bladder (not supplied), and avalanche probe, and also features a second smaller compartment, as well as a padded sunglasses pocket. Comfort comes courtesy of perforated padding on the back of the pack designed to run down either side of your spine, and all straps have received attention to detail meaning there’s no slop anywhere on this unit.
The Back Country couldn’t live up to its name without the ability to strap on a board and allow you to hike as if it weren’t there. So with that in mind the Beyond designers went to work on a board-carrying system that makes the ascent easier, and the descent come around quicker. Running the height of the pack are two flaps that will cover the edges of your board for a tight fit and prevent them from cutting the straps. The two heavy-duty adjustable board straps are connected to adjustable compression-type straps on the sides of the bag which means no matter how full or empty the pack itself is, your board will be held securely letting you get on with it. Effectively the board is secured to the pack as close to your back as possible, which gives the feel that the board is part of the pack, and therefore you barely notice you’re carrying it.
Features:
Ability to take a hydration bladder (not supplied) with the combination of a designated sleeve within the main compartment and tube port and elastic tube-guide strap on shoulder strap
Able to carry snowboard vertically with especially designed straps and fabric wings.
Pockets:
1x Main compartment
1x Elastic-rimmed sleeve pocket within main compartment designed to take a hydration bladder
1x Vertical loop sleeve within main compartment designed to hold avalanche probe to the side of storage space
1x Zippered pocket inside main compartment on back of flap
1x Secondary compartment running full height of bag
1x Padded zippered soft sunglasses pocket at top of bag
2x mesh drink holders with elastic rims on either side of bag
Straps & Handles
2x Padded shoulder strap with utility clip loops and elastic hydration tube guide straps. Adjustable at top and bottom.
1x Chest belt with tension and height adjustment
1x Padded waist belt with high-coverage adjustable wings for comfort
2x Board straps on front of pack to hold snowboard vertically. Adjustable with clip buckles. Connected to adjustable compression-type straps on side of bag so board is held taut no matter how full the bag is. Fabric wings run the distance of the bag under the board straps so the sharp edges don’t cut the straps.

awesomeness in a bag
Matthew Booth, Queenstown I travelled for three weeks with this bag, including the Glastonbury festival, and I was able to fit all my crap in it no worries, including an SLR with extra lens, 3 mobile phones, computer bits and all my clothes.
Here's a tip - when you're flying on an airline that only lets you take one piece of hand luggage (like I was), use the very adjustable straps to strap your laptop back to the backpack - fooled the airline staff a treat, and in doing so it paid for itself.
This bag is the nuts, buy one, for the Special price you'd be an idiot not to.

Great Bag
James McPherson, Rototuna -Hamilton Just had the pleasure of trying it out over the weekend at Whakapapa, comfy bag and the snowboard holder was awesome! Just strap it in and away you go! Very sturdy clips for the snowboard (I was worried the sharpish edge of the snowboard would cut in) but there are rubber pads to stop this.
Top bag and a top price!

Choice bag
Yoshua Horn, Newtown There are 2 things you need in a bag, comfort and usability. This bag has both. I use this bag for commuting and DH/XC (bike). It fits my laptop (in camel back sleeve) books lunch and keeps it all dry even if its hosing down. The snowboard straps on the back are great for taking a spade for track building strapping big jackets on and pads full face etc. The straps are very well padded and the bag does not shift when cornering or jumping very comfortable.

Great all-rounder
David A Ellis, Auckland City Great bag. Lots of room, pockets, etc and seems very well made and sturdy. I use it for around town, hiking, mountain biking, on my motorbike and no doubt for my snowboard when winter rolls around! Great all-rounder and a very good price! Top notch speedy service as usual!

Not just for the snow
Mark Baker, Papakura Great pack, great service. Replaces a four year old Kathmandu pack of similar size and type - but the K-brand aint making this kind of stuff any more and ain't pricing their stuff like this. Pockets are very well thought out, harness system way better than the one it replaces, the drink bladder pocket etc perfect for my chosen use, mountain biking (and riding to and from work). Exterior straps work to hold a helmet when I want them to; or I can strap more gear on the back if I need to - or the groceries on the way home from work. Strong fabrics, strong stitching well up to my blundering around the bush on my bike, just as well! Came back to T7 when a workmate mentioned the site, hadnt looked for about a year and a half. Very impressed with the site and the service. Four stars for the pack (only small grumble is I'm a big guy and the shoulder straps are straight to their maximum extension to make the pack fit); five stars for the site and service!
