Merckx has always utilized the highest end materials available, like Easton, Dedacciai and Columbus. "Think of say an ’84 steel frame", This latest model capitalizes on recent advancements in fiber technology, construction techniques and fiber placement, have allowed unidirectional carbon to replace woven fibers. the LXM is constructed of multiple carbon layers throughout to optimize stiffness and comfort. No additional materials are used, inside or out, so the frame stays rigid and solid throughout its life. The LXM takes performance up another notch with advanced multi-dimensional shaping of the tubing for increased stiffness and durability.
