tyre review
TONYBURCH, HENDERSON
excellent tyre, easy to fit on rim, the sidewalls and tyre on the 26 x 1.5 are quite solid and ride very well on the road. should expect to get 3000k's on them...havent encountered any puncture problems yet.

Top Tyres!
SamStockwell, St Martins -ChCh
These are excellent tyres, I have done many hundreds of kilometres on these tyres without punctures. Good grip on road and low rolling resistance. I use the 1.5" tyres, however I think I may try out the 1.25" version.
I usually run 80 psi, and have had no explosions, or evidence that explosions are evident.
Good for around town commuting as they allow you to jump off curbs etc. which is quite common in the city.
Not difficult to get on rim, sometimes you may need to use a plastic tyre lever, Would recommend.

Semi puncture proof....
CampbellLiddell, Oamaru
Really good tyre, have lasted and roll extremely well but have punctured. Other than that a really good tyre at a good price.

Good Tyres
RajiChauhan, Hamilton East
Fast tyres but prefer a fast mountain tyre. They are puncture proof - you just need to pump them to 67PSI. Can fit the 1.5 tyre in AlexDC9 Rim with 2.125 tube.

Great for purpose
mtbd00mmtbd00m, CHCH - Spreydon
Had these for over a year, haven't had one puncture. So I gather people just don't fit their tubes properly/carefully or not scanning the road as more as they should. Fit: I've found it depends on the rim, I can get these one without effort on my rims, but on my partners bike I simply cannot get them on...ever. Cons: they're heavy

Not puncture proof
MattW, Auckland
I purchased the 1.75 for the ride to work and in the first fortnight got 3 punctures (3 times as many as I had in the last 4 months on my other tyres). Good ride quality but don't expect them to live up to their 'puncture proof' label.

Thin and good value
GiantBoulder, MELBOURNE
I just bought a set when on special. Good smooth ride for me. Although it's a bit tight on your rim (you should use your lever bit by bit when installing) and thin rubber, I am quite satisfied with the product. Let's see how long it will last for...

great value
TommyS, Manly
Bought two of the 1.25inch tyres for my MTB, they are very easy to fit, approx 15mins to fit each wheel. quality seems very decent, can't complain and the price is spot on.

i2 on Good Value when on special
AaronTing, DARLINGHURST
I have just worn out my 1st set. Just ordered my 2nd set. I am 68kg. I have the 2010 Shimano XT wheelset, and these Innova MTB Slick Tyre fit true, ride smooth when pumped to 90-100psi, only 2 rear punctures over about 1800km in the past 6 months on my nimble urban freeride bike which I throw all over the place, hoping over gutters, through roughage, mud, cement and bitumin hunting down buses and cars......urrr through the city to the beach 3-4 days per week, so I don't care what other(s) say about these tyres, but I say "These are all right you know" AND you know you want to...... "Because your worth it ;-)"

Good Value when on special
ELiotDalgleish, WOY WOY
Bought 2 sets of these tyres for my commuter and my wifes mtb. True they are a struggle to get on, but talc powder helps with the tight fit.
Run a 1.5 on front, 1.25 on back, very fast tyres and grippy even when wet.

OK, but not great
RobMcNeur, Avonside
I got 2 of these 6 months ago for city commuting. 7 months later, they roll well, no punctures on either, but on one of them, after 5 months the sidewall tread just peeled away from the sidewall and the main tread wore down and through the canvas backing quite quickly. So 1 good, one bad. But I'll still buy some more :-)

A little too cheap
JoelGilmore, Melville
I got the 26x1.25. Pretty bulky for the stated size, also quite slow and heavy (yeah, I should have read the ad more carefully!). Handling is sloppy and they are hard to mount/remove without tyre levers too.
You definitely get your money's worth at the Special price but I reckon spending a bit more is the way to go.

Great value
RodneyWest, Judea
Have been riding on the non kevlar version of these tyres most days for 3 months with 1 puncture(a staple ). I'm a 100kgs so was a bit skeptical about how robust they would be but they seem to be wearing well. Grippy in the dry and the wet would definitely recommend them great value for money.

Poor
timrobinson, Mt Eden
Bought these on offer, about three to four months ago. Just not up to the rough condition of Auckland roads - puncture easily on the marbles at the side of the road, and pinches the inner tuber when replacing. Just bought some "Ritchey SpeedMax Delta slicks" in the last Torpedo7 sale, way better performance and feel rock solid on tarmac. Innova - not recommended - sorry T7, duff product.

Puncture Proof?
Richardvan der Plas, Sockburn
I've been riding Michelen country rock tyres which have been great on the road riding I've done but thought I'd give 'proper' slicks a crack. These were the hardest tyres to get on that I've ever owned and pinched two tubes getting the set on first time. Two days later I've punctured - yeah whats with that! - then I pinched my spare getting the tight as tyre on again! Not happy.

punctures but worth it
TKCommuter, Sydney
Puncture: not great protection. problem is tyre is quite soft so glass gets embedded in outer rubber and then gets pushed thru the alleged kevlar belt.
Wear: have done a few hundred km's - soft tyres but wear is not bad - probably good for 2 to 3 thousand km's.
Grip: very good grip in dry and wet. quite a soft tyre with nice tread pattern.
Size: I got the 1.25 non-kevlar for my MTB last time and they always felt fragile. Got the 26x1.5 this time and it feels very robust (not sure if its thicker due to kevlar or if the 1.5 just feels solid).
Overall, excellent value for the Special price and no complaints, although for commuting its worth spending extra and getting something like the Scwhalbe marathon plus's next time around.

Well, I've given them the puncture test I wanted
KevKevlar, Blackburn
The two of us have just finished a 200km ride on the East Gippsland rail trail using these tyres on a track featuring gravel, loose rocks and a lot of punishment. My bike was loaded with 10kgs of stuff. Wasn't even sure I should venture out with these road tyres into the bush. No problems. Got two punctures - (in fact, one tyre's sidewall was ripped open) on a similar trip using other 'MTB' tyres earlier this year. For the Special price I should be buying more. One point: can't seem to find a rotation direction indicator, though not sure it matters..

Good price
ChrisK, Wellington
Yeah I'm not sure what puncture-proof is supposed to mean. I got a puncture the second time out on these tyres. Still, it's much nicer having these on the road than the dirt tyres I was riding on before. I've done about 100Km on them and the wear is fine. If you can get them on sale, I say go for it.

Excellent value tyre
ColIngleton, Blacktown
These are a great tyre for commuting on your MTB and at this price there is nothing else that comes close. Would be nice if you could run more than 65lbs but pretty good anyway.

Heavy, but still not bad
AndrewMcCosker, RYDE
Not a bad tyre, reasonable grip in dry (haven't tried wet). They roll quite well. I don't think they will last many kms though, after a 18km ride my tyres are starting to show wear. I didn't think the weight would worry me that much, but next time I will go for something lighter. I just added 1/2kg to my bike swapping on these tyres.

Cheap
MartinBliss, Greenlane
Nah. Not really puncture proof. I had a flat tyre within a month of fitting this to the bike. In all my years cycling I've never had that before. Coincidence?? Spend more and get something decent.
