Great for fat midgets with huge arms
MichaelPorter, Dunedin CBD
Bought an el cheapo size "L" Hi Vis Shower Jacket of Torpedo 7 about a year ago, was a decent fit except for the length which sat about level with my belly button and right up the small of my back, so I just gave it to a 5ft workmate. On this occassion, I saw this jacket on sale, read the reviews, no mention of being short as hell so purchased an "XL" just to be safe, but dang, same again it's way too short (sits between belt buckle & belly button). I'm 6ft3 so not a giant or anything.
On the positive side of things, it's cheap, it's seriously bright and the sleeves are rather puffy so I just wear another wind/rain jacket underneth.

Dayglo windbreaker
IanWilliams, Rangiora
Great cheap dayglo windbreaker but used it for the first time this week in heavy drizzle for about 15 mins and may as well not worn it. I was totally soaked when I got to work.
Coming home later, it had dried out, rain stopped but was cool and windy. It came to the fore as a great high vis windbreaker.

School wear...
LinTozer, Aokautere
A very practical item especially for children on bikes where a vest is obscured almost totally by thier school bag - the long sleeves make them far more visible. Would recommend for this market - also more acceptable to fashion conscious pre teens and teens.

just what you need to be seen this winter could probably wear it out to the clubs too :P. plenty of room for base layers and i agree with sizing, go up one size.

Pretty good value
DerekHasse, Darley
This one is ultra bright! Works well for light showers, mist and fog (not heavy rain), and it folds down to almost nothing. The sleeves are a bit wide and flap about, a touch more length in them wouldn't go astray either. Overall a very good product.

does the job well
VikramKhanna, Howick
Very good quality including the zip - something I can't say about all the other jackets I have bought. Sleeves are very much on the loose side - so do cause a bit of wind flutter. Otherwise brilliant material, fit and finish.

Great jacket!
KH, Sydney
Love the jacket, it's bright, light, and folds down super small. Plus, it lets in a lot of air flow so you don't end up steaming hot by the end of the ride. However, don't expect to stay dry if you get more than a minute or two of rain. For the average commuter this won't be an issue as chances are you're only half an hour away from a warm shower anyway, but if you're looking for something to keep you dry on a longer ride, this probably isn't it.

hi vis windbreaker
CraigBeattie, Richmond -Nelson
Make sure you get one size larger. I am usually a med got a large and is ok. Sleeves could do with being a little less wide. Otherwise not bad.

Brighter than a bright thing
MikeLeslie, UPPER HUTT
Super bright, couldn't stop the water shed off a bumble bee's wings. Billows lots but does exactly what it should, makes you visible and keeps you safe (But stop marketing it as shower-proof in any way).

Good when on special
AleenaPritchard, Westown
Jacket is fine for the 5 min commute to work. Arms on jacket seem a bit short. Perhaps they could have taken some of the width out and added it to the length as the sleeves flap like crazy!

Shower protection of a net
JohnClarkson, Hataitai
Wore this home the other night in the rain, it had the shower protection of a net, I couldn't have got wetter. It has no other purpose than being dayglo yellow.

Disappointing product. No pockets? Needs a bit more length in the body relative to the width.

Great Value
RikiMoore, North New Brighton
Need to get on special, Very thin and light, the big #7 logo on back was half hanging off so pulled it right off. Otherwise good as gold.

Brilliant
GrantRayner, Tawa
Perfect to deflect the wind, I also got one size larger and it fits how it should. Rode it through a shower and it was ok, but the shower kept on going so it did eventually feel wet on the arms. Brilliant colour, a must for the coming gloom.

Bright and good value
JamesWebber, Lower Hutt
Brought on special for commuting early mornings. Previous comments are on the mark. Very light good to have folded up in your bag.
Make sure you by one size bigger (I am a Med so brought a large) as the front is short for riding.
Not overly waterproof or warm so on very cold days I wouldn't be without a poly prop underneath.

All as below
AntonyHarvey, Waiheke Island
Great light weight jacket, wind and shower proof, sleeves a bit flappy at speed, but can't knock it as a carry in the bag emergency jacket.

Great jacket and a great price. Lite, breaks the wind well and folds down nicely. Fits easily into my bum bag.

Good Value
DamonWoods, Christchurch
Got a size above as others have suggested, although I did find the sleeves a bit long and flappy. Trunk does seem short but doesn't ride up. Definitely worth the price when on special. Would be nice if it had one pocket. Delivered very quickly.

Keeps you visible. Dry, not so much...
TasmanStacey, St Leonards
Very lightweight, and I'm not sure how durable the jacket is. I rode it through a light rain and it kept my damp, rather than out-and-out wet. Small enough that it will fit easy in my rising pack until I need it. Get it on special.

Brite and Lite
SimonMorris, Mt Eden
A very light-weight bright jacket with good positioning of the light reflectors on the sleeves. Does enough to keep out strong wind and chill without feeling like a sail.

Agree with others on sizing. Very light, no pockets, and only good in light showers. But good value at the Special price.

Does the job
PaulHuggins, Te Atatu North
Needed to go up a size, as others had recommended, so it fits ok, although I still find it somewhat short in the trunk. Sleeves flap as others have said. However, due to it being on a special I am happy with the purchase overall.

Exellent value
Damianburtt, Christchurch CBD
Haven't had it long but am very impressed. Biggest gain for me is the that it breathes and I'm not overheating, not like my old one. Couple that with the fact you can be seen from some distance away (just look at that colour!) and you have a good value purchase. Definitely next the next size up though as they are small for their size.

Small and Lightweight
JeroenRoot, Wellington CBD
Very fine, (flimsy?) material - will scrunch up to size nothing.
Speaking of size - the large was very snug fitting - consider ordering one size larger than usual.

Jacket review
StuartManson, Christchurch CBD
The jacket was fine, as I expected. BUT I was a bit pissed off to pay $59.00 and a day later see the same jacket on special.

ROUTE 7 Hi Vis Shower Jacket
JasonGray, Christchurch
I rang and ordered my ROUTE 7 Hi Vis Shower Jacket on the 9th of November at about 9am, it was here by about 9am the next morning. I'm very impressed both with the Jacket as well as the service. I took others advice and got the Large rather than the Medium, which is what I usually am. Medium would have been to small in this case.
