Money well spent . After reading all the reviews I had a fairly good idea on how to put this on my wagon without scratching it. Have used 3 times and found it to be safe and very secure . Awesome deal.

Way, way cheaper than installing a towbar and post for transporting a couple of bikes. At a pinch you can attach it firmly to pretty much any car, just be careful with placing the hooks and hanging the bikes and no problems. Recommendations of using some rubber under the hooks will help with peace of mind.

I read all the comments and was so hesitant in trying to fit this on my car. I got a friend to come and help me. 10 mins, no scratches and all done. I have since put this on my car by myself. All good. My only comment is I have a ladies bike and it is very difficult for me to put on the rack. This happens with all of these type of racks and limits the bike rack capacity. It will only ever be 2 bikes maximum for me.

This rack fits onto my '03 Civic hatchback easily. It was quite quick and simple to install the rack and it holds my bike securely. Great value for money.

This rack is super fast to install once you have worked out where the best place to put it is. I use this on my little 3 door Festive and big people mover Kia Carnival. It is light weight, rock solid and comfortably fits 3 adult bikes. Big high density foam protects the cars paint job and allows for a super tight fit.

The centre straps are attached by bolts that are not covered at the back. These 2 bolts left nasty gouges in my boot lid. All it would have needed is a bit of thick tape over them which I have now done.
Also the straps to secure the bikes are too short for my mountain bike at the front end.
Apart from that its fine, but the damage to my car means I give it 2 stars, as they could so easily (and cheaply) have covered those bolts.

Was a little concerned given the price point, but after spending ten minutes playing around it became very clear (and the next time was only a few minutes) and it was rock solid on my Fiesta 3 door.

Only thing missing is something to hang the number plate from.

Recommend you use some bits of rubber (I used bits of inner tube) between the clips and the car to prevent scratching.

Boot Rack  Rogerde Laborde, Melville
I bought it nearly a year ago, and I must say I am very happy with it.

It does the job and is very easy to set-up.

I recently got another car, I did have the problem if it damaging the paintwork on my new car, but that was more due to user error than anything else, and now I've figured out the best placement for it on the new car, it won't be an issue).

Definitely an option I recommend to my mates who haven't got a towbar.

Hard to avoid damaging your car  SimonO, Wellington
Safe and secure. Fairly easy to mount after some practice.

Have got GT, Giant and Specialized MTB frames onto it easily enough. The straps do stretch.

Can easily get 2 MTB on, but 3 would probably require pedals to be removed.

The only gripe is that it seems hard to avoid damaging your car. I've got an 08 Mazda 3 hatch, and the boot arches out so carrier arm rubbed first time I used it. Fixed it by adding some extra padding on bottom horizontal arm, but doesn't matter how clean the car is, the pads mark the tailgate and bumper. Will probably just get a towbar put on....
