Featuring Kiwi backcountry snowboarder Will Jackways, filmmaker Tim Pierce brings us this 10 minute documentary titled ‘Interpretation’, which looks at Wills take on life as well as showcasing his supreme skills in the mountains. Shot over the course of a year, it delves into the emotional side of snowboarding, with Jackways a clearly reflective subject. “It delves deeper than most snowboarding films but I still wanted to retain the snowboarding movie side” and those shots of Jackways in his backcountry element give it credence amongst the snowboarding community. Particularly those who are based in New Zealand and can appreciate the rarity of epic powder days in changeable Kiwi conditions.
