Welcome to the All Women’s Adventure Race, Situated in the Auckland region this year. Offering events for beginner, intermediate and advanced racers of all ages Tackling Rafting, Biking and Hiking.
The Spring Challenge has been running successfully in the South Island since 2007 with thousands of women taking part, the 2016 event in Golden Bay saw 1350-women embarking on the journey, making it the largest Adventure Race in the World.
In 2016 the inaugural Spring Challenge North was held in Rotorua with 540-women taking part. Race Directors Jodie & Nathan Fa’avae are really excited to provide the opportunity for North Island women to experience the magic of the event.
Spring Challenge – Fast Facts
- 3-women per team
- 1-2 support crew
- using hiking, mountain biking and rafting, teams navigate their way through a set route navigating to Control Points (CP’s) in numerical order, using a map and compass
- at the end of stage teams reach a Transition Area (TA), this is where they meet their support crew and resupply, and change equipment, get a pep talk and head off again
