Abel Tasman National Park - Explore the bays and beaches

The Abel Tasman National Park is an easily accessible coastal paradise and is a wilderness reserve at the north end of New Zealand's South Island. It's popular for the Abel Tasman Coast Track, a long trail winding over beaches and across ridges between Marahau in the South and Wainui in the North. Whether you are hiking or kayaking lazily between beaches, camping overnight in your own time, Abel Tasman is a wonderful wilderness area to be cherished by all New Zealanders. Nelson is close by and can provide a great base for exploring the wider area, it has its own wealth of stunning beaches and outdoor activities including helibiking, horse riding, sailing tours, wineries and is a great to learn to kitesurf.
