Product Details

Rail 9 is our top-of-the-line alloy electric mountain bike with long-travel suspension.

It features a suspension set-up and parts worthy of the gnarliest enduro runs, and the powerful new Bosch drive system will get you back up the mountain faster than you ever thought possible.

It's right for you if...
You're looking for a long-travel e-MTB that gives you a serious power boost without holding you back from hitting the techy terrain and big drops you love. You prefer to drop your upgrade budget on a plush suspension set-up and killer parts than on a frame.

The tech you get
A burly alloy frame that fully encases a 625 Wh battery, a super responsive RockShox ZEB fork with extra-beefy 38 mm stanchions and loads of adjustability, a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock with an updated Thru Shaft damper, a Bosch Performance Line CX 250 W motor that assists up to 32 km/h, and a Kiox controller. A SRAM GX Eagle drive train with an extra-low 52-tooth climbing gear, downhill-rated 4-piston brakes for unflinching descents and Bontrager Line Comp 30 29er wheels with robust Bontrager SE5 Team Issue tyres that come completely tubeless-ready, including sealant.

The final word
Our top-shelf alloy Rail features major upgrades to the suspension, drive train, dropper and more. If you’re looking for an e-MTB that’s spec’d like our best long-travel trail bikes and shreds just as hard, look no further.

Why you'll love it:
  • RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft works faster than a normal shock, so it tracks the ground better and keeps you in control
  • The full-colour Kiox controller displays ride info, connects with your Bluetooth® enabled devices and has a built-in theft prevention feature
  • The new, better-than-ever Bosch motor is smaller, lighter and more efficient. It feels more natural while you’re pedalling, and has less drag when you’re not
  • Made with the same exclusive frame tech as Remedy and Slash, like Mino Link adjustable geometry, a Straight Shot down tube for extra stiffness and Active Braking Pivot (ABP)
  • Trek's Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system looks great and is super user-friendly: it fully hides the battery in the frame for protection, makes it easy remove the battery without tools and lets you mount a water bottle cage

  • New Rails9
Absolutely whicked bike. Well worth the money. For someone that’s got a buggered knee, I can use this bike to take the strain off a little while I actually can power myself up hills. I also enjoy being lazy and flying up trails. What’s an unexpected pleasure is how the Computer is so easy to sync with my mobile and feature rich. The battery is good and easy to use and charge. The only issue is the Computer needs an additional screw to safely secure it and ….. the speed limit is a pain at times.

  • Beast of a bike
Although not purchased from T7, I have had no issues with my Rail 9 Gx. In fact, I find it an incredible bike! Reviews on you tube refer to it as a 'monster truck' and a 'mountain goat' and they would be right! This bike eats everything in its way!

  • Great but heavy and useless if electronics fail
Two great rides in and Kiox controller won’t turn bike from off to on for 3rd ride, in turn, rendering bike useless. Despite phone connecting via Bluetooth to Kiox, it doesn’t appear to serve as a wireless alternative to the Cabled Kiox controller. Bike is now dead until retail or Bosch resolve. I really hope the eBike Ap can control Kiox in event of controller or controller cable failure. Having a critical dependency on cabling and / or a relatively fragile digital hardware interface on an MTB is not comforting, particularly if riding a long way from home. Note also most bike carriers won’t carry eBikes weighing more than 25kg so you’ll need a new bike rack / carrier.
