Product Details

Don't confuse the Slash 9.7 with other value carbon models on the market – this bike gives you our best enduro main frame and suspension with a workhorse drivetrain and wheels.

With Thru Shaft works faster than a normal shock, so it tracks the ground better and keeps you in control. Mino Link lets you adjust the geometry, so you get both an enduro race bike and an ultra-capable trail bike in one.  It's equally at home between the tape and in the rugged wild – Yes, Slash is a race bike, but it's ridiculously fun on gnarly trail rides, too. We're not the only ones who love it: Slash was awarded Mountain Bike of the Year by Pinkbike.

  • Great bike, poor assembly.
I definitely wouldn’t call myself a bike expert. But if I can notice a small crack in the carbon frame after I picked the bike up from the store and got it home then it doesn’t give me much trust in the bike or the people who put it together. Torpedo 7 told me to take the bike back to the store (another 50km round trip) to have the frame assessed. This resulted in me getting another brand new bike built and another 50km round trip to visit the store for a 3rd time to hopefully pick up a non faulty bike. On the 3rd visit I almost got given a bike with dodgy front spoke alignment. I asked the staff why my pedals from the old bike hadn’t been transferred onto the new built bike, like they promised they would. They then attached my pedals and I saw the bike mechanic adjusting the front wheel as he said it wasn’t straight and could have come loose on the trail - this filled me with great confidence spending nearly 5000 dollars....... not. After 40minutes waiting around in the shop I got the bike and couldn’t wait to leave. I got home and noticed a big scuff and scratch on the front fork 1cm thick and about 2cm wide. Also a scratch on the rear rim from a tool brushing across it. A hard clear plastic disc that I assume protects the wheel and hub in the bike box was not removed at assembly so I had great difficulty cutting this with office scissors to wriggle it free from the spokes and rear cassette. Nobody in the store apologised for the delays or needing to make 3 trips to pick up a bike that is in very poor condition.
Not impressed paying 5000 dollars for a brand new bike that is far from perfect.
Customer service haven’t replied in 7days and I doubt they will offer any solution.
Great bike but be careful once you get it, look it over thoroughly before leaving the store.
