Centric Mini Exercise Bike

I bought this miniature cycle on sale for $50 and I've used it twice for 2 ~1 hour barefoot sessions over 2 days so far while sitting on a spinning, wheeled office chair with adjustable height under my dining table. Actually I'm using it while writing this review!

I put it together in about 5 minutes despite the directions being a little incongruous from what was provided. For instance:
- The computer was already installed and loaded with a battery & ready to roll so that was handy.
- Washers were provided with more screws than were needed, but the book did not indicate where it'd be best to place the washers so I didn't use them.
- A wrench was provided to put bolts on pedals but those were already assembled, so it wasn't needed and the pedals just screw in to the crank bars easily.

The computer is simple but also a little confusing for this new user.
- It's entirely unclear what the distance units are. I spun for an hour on low tension and I went 0.5 distance units. I'm doubtful it's either kms or miles. The booklet has no clarifying info.
- It shows both count and T-count -- I guess after several sessions that C= count for total session but T-count is total count for all use, ever, even after resetting the session.

Pros
- easy to assemble
- lightweight, easy to move with a built-in handle
- quiet
- one-size-fits-all so no mucking around with heaps of settings
- you can introduce significant resistance with just a few twists
- seems sturdy, there's a heavy metal beam through the centre and though the body is lightweight plastic, the pedals are thick rubber and the crank arms are solid metal.
- I've used it on carpet and it doesn't shift or wobble much during use.

Cons
- Smells strongly of oil upon opening, but that mostly dissipates after a day
- Slightly confusing computer
- Pedal straps are not adjustable, hasn't been a problem for me yet.
- Pedals might be a little narrow for some.
- It was almost completely silent until I mucked around with resistance
