Note for 29er’s
We’ve tested a Large framed Dual Suspension 29er in this bag and here are our suggestions to fit:
Remove both wheels, and tyres and tubes - to allow wheels to fit into wheel bags (wheel bags are designed for 700 x 23/35c or 26" MTB wheels fitted with tyres inflated only)
We recommend that the rear derailleur and handlebars are removed for best fit too.
Good bike bag for the price. Would definitely buy again.

value for money, but don't plan to walk long distances with it
The bag served me well on bike trip to Japan. It is sturdy enough and offers a decent amount of protection. However if you have to walk long distances with it consider a taxi (van) because it is not very stable once the bike is inside. Still for the price compared to other bike bags it is good value for money.

Good value for money
Unused current bag as yet. Purchased to replace previous model used since 2012 for six overseas tours involving international flights to Ireland, Britain, France and New Zealand and associated buses, trains and shuttles. With a cut down bike box and some additional cardboard used inside the bag for additional protection kept bikes transported in bag well protected. Replaced because wheels worn out and webbing drag handle frayed and subsequently broke (battling customs barriers etc.). Cheaper to buy replacement than repair.

Light and waterproof
I was heading overseas and needed a box or bag. I wanted something lightweight and waterproof - this ruled out the expensive hard boxes and free cardboard boxes. Bottom line is this bag is ok, but a few small mods make it great. The first mod is to use it in combination with a cardboard box - I just used one side and the top of a cardboard box, placed in the bag after the bike, and it makes the bag really rigid. The other is to use the tough foam that comes with a new bike etc and reusable zip ties and label each piece; this makes repacking your bike a doddle. The cardboard can also be used as a mat when you get to your destination hotel.

Good price point for hardy bikes
I used this bag to transport my TT bike with me on the plane from Australia to New Zealand. The bag is thick, but didn't completely fill me with confidence that my bike would arrive in one piece (I've seen the baggage handlers throwing the bags around!). I wrapped my bike frame and wheels with pool noodles and then added extra padding to the sides with thick cardboard. My bike arrived in one piece although I was sweating a lot more than my partner who had a hard-shell case.
If you are transporting a mountainbike or a cheapie or are willing to spend time with padding I think it is a great bag. But if you are transporting something valuable or carbon-framed, maybe splash out for the hard-shell case.
