Canvas tents are indeed the next step up from lighter weight dome tents, renowned for their solid structure and durability, there is a reason why they have remained relatively un-changed from the old family tent that shaped childhood memories for many of us. The Torpedo7 Canvas tent range has an option to suit most needs and situations, from one to three rooms with all modals designed to fit our optional sunroom walls to create an additional living space.
Single Room Vista
The smallest in our Canvas range, the Single Room Vista packs down to a manageable size and has plenty of room for a couple of queen sized airbeds or a cosy half a dozen singles. Close the awning in with our optional Sunroom Walls for an extended storage and living space.
How to Season your Canvas tent - Before using your Canvas Tent for the first time, you will need to Season the Canvas. Pitch your tent at home in the back yard and use the garden hose to simulate rain, wetting the entire outer of the tent but focusing more around the stitching. This process will allow the stitching to swell creating water tight seal.
Pole set: to be supplied with all tent purchases without any additional charge
Packaging: 2 seperate boxes
Please Note: The warranty for Torpedo7 tents does not cover wind damage. This is standard practice for all tents sold within New Zealand and Australia.
Set this tent up at home first so as to not embarrass myself in a campground. Took an hour but now only 20 minutes. The instructions are confusing but don't need them now after a few uses. Good quality tent, I guess time will tell how good it really is but very happy with purchase. Waiting for the sunroom to be available for extended stays

Need instructions on guide ropes and installing the large square piece of canvas
Tested relationships to put this up, as well we are learner tent ppl. So need more instructions or pictures or video on the guide ropes and the large piece of canvas that we guess is a roof top, none of those are in the pictures, btw our end result is far from the perfect pictures on the website. There are 4 guide ropes and many pegs left over, guessing they’re spares. Will put it up again next weekend in the backyard or maybe we jus go to a campground and fellow campers will help cos they’ll feel sorry for us seeing our frustration. Question: for the seasoning how wet does the tent need to be? And how many times is enough?

Big tent with extra parts
Big tent that can easily fit more than the stated 3 people. There are 2 extra parts that came with the tent that I can’t figure out where they go and has no reference on the instructions where to put them. I bought this tent on sale and by the looks of it there is already mold on the canvas, wondering if that’s why they were on sale. Would be handy if there is a video you can watch to assemble the tent and attach the guy ropes. This is the first time I’ve purchased and setup a tent so there was a lot of confusion throughout the process

Good tent
Really happy with my purchase, tent was exactly what I was after, only real negative feed back was the instructions where pretty basic. Got to the end and had to change a few things that weren’t stated in instructions also was a extra piece that had no reference in instructions. Found out where it went by process of elimination. But the tent itself was great ! Plenty of space for being the smallest of the range.
