  • Not very good really
    I really wanted to like these pads because they were a good price and from an NZ company. They initially look the part but aren't well designed. The back plate is thicker than Shimano / TRP / Tektro equivalent, so there is less actual brake pad material. The spring isn't shaped to push the pad at the corners in the way that the genuine parts are. The noise level got pretty bad once they warmed up, I found I was unconsciously avoiding using my brakes to avoid the noise. The paint blistered off the back of the plates, which isn't a problem but shows that they were warmed up. After about 4 rides I swapped them out for basic Shimano resin pads which stopped much better and made stopping silent again. Possibly if used with Shimano / Tektro / TRP brake pad springs these might be quieter, I haven't tried that.

  • Stops you, but noisy
    If you want a budget brake pad, this works just fine but gets very very noisy when heated. Long descents become very distracting.

If you're not 100% completely satisfied with your purchase we will happily accept your return and provide you with a store credit or a full refund to the value of the product's purchase price. You can return the product to any of our stores nationwide, or send it back to our Head Office. With our 30-day right of return policy there are no special catches it's extremely simple! All we ask is that you return the item back to us unused and in the original packaging, making sure that the product is in the same condition as you received it in, tags still intact. The only exceptions to our returns policy are: watches, underwear, socks, ear plugs, compression clothing, padded bike shorts and swimwear which we cannot accept back due to hygiene reasons.Torpedo7 Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash or refundable.
