Teaching and learning to ride is a breeze with Precaliber 16.
It has a handle built into the saddle so you can guide while they ride, and tool-free training wheels that are super easy to install and remove. It's a great fit for kids aged 4-5, between 39–46? (99–117 cm) tall.
It's right for you if...
It's finally time to teach your little one to ride! You want to make it a great memory, so you're looking for a bike that's comfortable, durable and fun. Simplicity is key, and you want to be able to pop off the stabilisers easily when the time is right.
The tech you get
This kid-friendly bike has a handle integrated right into the saddle so you can help guide your child while they ride, plus a coaster brake and tool-less training wheels that can be installed and removed at the turn of a dial. Plus, the lightweight aluminium frame is easy to manoeuvre.
The final word
You want to make sure that your child's first bike is comfortable, durable and fun. Each of our bikes, all the way down to the smallest size, is built to our highest standards, so you can feel confident when you choose Trek for your family.
Why you'll love it
This bike is a memory-maker: seeing your child ride their bike for the first time is something you'll never forget
This bike is hand-me-down heaven: it's built to last, so younger siblings can inherit this bike and it'll still feel like new
You shouldn't buy your kid's bike where you buy your cereal – Unlike big box brands, Trek kids' bikes are assembled by people who know bikes
You can replace the saddle's integrated handle with an integrated light mount when your child starts adventuring on their own
Like all Precaliber bikes, the frame is lower so it's easier for kids to stand over and hop on and off
Features:
Alpaha aluminium frame: Confident stopping for youngsters who are ready to control their speed with their hands.
Coaster Brakes: Speed control is all in the legs for the little ones.
Single speed : No gear shifting necessary, so beginners can learn balance and basic riding skills.
Amazing,Quality,Excellency! Mums & Dads use your Ears and Listen please! I watched my soon to be 4 year old try the $100 bikes his face lit up (But) he struggled with the stiff inferior Crank peddle set up,this aspect on a bike is Soo key to enjoying the ride or struggling, the plastic training wheels were awkward and dragging with flimsy brackets, then the brakes poorest quality Arcadian horse shoe set up!Soo No I went searching for a bike that was built to be a Bike not a easy buck imitation version. Memory’s of BMXs from 80s & 90s how we allowed these degraded versions of a BMX was disappointing. Then I found the Trek First impression was Hey that’s so different from what we used to have …..Wow it’s better soo much better First I tried the pedals it was like gliding across the ice I knelt on the floor and kept turning the pedals Shop assistant standing there wandering when I might stop haha Truely this was the best set up I had found Everything on this bike is designed with Passion & Quality the Crank casing is fully accessible so it can be serviced to shop new for the next sibling or sold the brakes are Morden easy on little paws to apply and high quality the frame with the sloped bar makes this BMX a lot safer when they have a crash or tip to the side trapping there leg as I discovered later my 4 year old either kept the leg free the bike crashed on or he was able to remain standing with the bike on the ground still holding the handle bars , the wheels Tyres and Rims are high quality & the strongest I’ve seen on a BMX the neighbour would have to drive his car over them before the kids ever have a buckled wheel , the extra wide tyres had me worried it was too much and make it harder / slower to ride no way as soon as the boy hit the grass I was convinced he just kept rolling the training wheels are bracketed with quality material in 2 sections to the bike frame this made a huge difference they actually support the bike as they ride no wobbling no buckling every
