The performance of this exercise involves raising onto the balls of your feet and then slamming the slam ball onto the ground infront of you forcefully from an overhead position. This exercise relies on explosive muscle power to generate this quick movement. This exercise develops power in many muscle groups including the shoulders, triceps, core, quads, glutes, hamstrings and calves!
Slam balls are similar to medicine balls in the fact that both are a similar size, weighted and made of rubber. However slam balls, unlike medicine balls are typically made from very tough rubber which can handle high-velocity impact against hard surfaces.
