Paddle For The North: Adventure/Conservation Documentary

Six mates and two dogs went on a 1500km canoe trip from Canada to Alaska to raise awareness for one of the largest undeveloped river systems left in the World, the Peel Watershed. The team overcame 25km of mosquito infested swamp and 130km upriver, against the flow, on the flooded Rat River to showcase this incredible environment to the World.

The film is about celebrating the wild spaces we have left and inspiring people to get out, enjoy and hopefully fall in love with the wilderness. We wanted to show conservation efforts positively and get our viewer excited about exploring.

Paddle for the North is screening this Friday at the Mercury Theatre in Auckland. Tickets available online from Eventbrite. Profits go towards NZ Alpine Club and Forest & Bird.

Winner of  five awards, including Best Canoe Film at the Reel Paddling Film Festival, Bronze Award at the New York Festivals Best TV & Films and Best NZ Film at NZ Mountain Film Festival, this is one journey you wont want to miss.
