The Fall/Winter 2016 Icebreaker Merino range in now available in-store and online. It brings exciting new technical innovations and styles to its popular MerinoLOFT category and introduces BodyfitZONE for FW16.
MerinoLOFT is comprised of the warmest mid layers and outer layers in the Icebreaker range, delivering comfort in the coldest conditions through the use of lightweight merino insulation, a DWR-treated polyester exterior for wind and water protection and a 100% merino lining. The FW collection features fresh colours, new lifestyle outer layers, athletic mid layers and the new Stratus series.

The Icebreaker Lifestyle Collection
The technical functionality and sophisticated silhouettes in the new Scout and Helena pieces make them ideal for both outdoor activities and city environments. Featuring a woven twill of 67% merino, 33% organic cotton, a 100% recycled polyester overlay on the shoulders and 180gm Icebreaker MerinoLOFT for added warmth, these outer layers are ideal for exceptionally cold climates.
The Icebreaker Helix Long-Sleeve Shirt is perfect for keeping comfortable while adventuring in the cold. This shirt incorporates our 70gm MerinoLOFT technology into a fully reversible and versatile design with a recycled poly outer layer and our plaid quilted 100% merino flannel lining.

The Icebreaker Stratus Collection
Stratus jackets are packed with more loft (180gm in body/100gm in sleeves), allowing the wearer to conquer even the most frigid conditions on a wide variety of outdoor adventures. The Helix collection features a recycled polyester outer layer, 70gm of recycled MerinoLOFT™, and a 100% merino lining next to skin. BodyfitZONE is a new premium base layer system that offers all the benefits of previous Icebreaker layering systems with performance enhanced features and a more athletic design element. These base layers are more technical, versatile, and offer more multi-sport functionality than ever before.
The new styles represent an evolution from the previous BodyfitPLUS line, with BodyfitZONE pieces containing 200 gm jersey weight material with panels of 120 gm eyelet fabric. Bodyfit ZONE maps the appropriate fabric to the best place on the body, making it ideal for all season wear. While these pieces are more technical, they still offer all the benefits of previous merino layering systems: wicking away moisture from the body to maximize comfort, offering a smooth hand feel, and featuring an antimicrobial finish, which make the garments odour resistant. New key features include low profile seams for comfort and layering, multi-functional use as a base layer or first layer athletic top, eyelet panels for added breathability, bright colours for visibility, and thumb loops for added ease of movement and comfort.
